A rack is the support structure present in the cabinet that ensures the elements do not rest on top of each other, in the interest of ensuring proper ventilation. Indeed, electronic systems that are placed inside a Rack Cabinet often produce heat, requiring not only air intake but even forced ventilation to prevent the negative and dangerous effects of overheating.
